Introduction to Embedded Computers
MOXA embedded computer can be used not only as a front-end
data control unit, but also a powerful protocol converter that can
deal with the complicated protocol communication among remote
devices and the control center.
As the traditional industrial devices use different proprietary
protocols, it is difficult when wishing to communicate on different
platforms: Programmers have to spend lots of efforts developing
the relevant software and it even takes time to make the whole system
work.
Using MOXA embedded computer can reduce the effort in dealing
with the protocol conversion. It can be used as a strong unit that help
accelerate the communication between devices and the control center.
For example, the Modbus Serial protocol signals at the remote site can be pre-processed by MOXA embedded computer and then
transmitted to the server with Modbus/TCP protocol. Even the proprietary protocol can be dealt easily with MOXA embedded

This patented technology aims to protect both software developers
and system integrators from having their software copied illegally. The
encryption lock works in the following way:
1. Configure the encryption key on the target site (e.g., the MOXA
embedded computers).
2. Configure the same encryption key on the PC that you use to
develop your software programs.
Once the encryption key has been set, your software programs will
not work properly without the correct encryption key. In other words,
neither end-users nor competitors will be able to steal or copy your intellectual property for either personal or commercial use.
