MOXA’s embedded computers are all-in-one devices that
handle special purpose computing tasks for industrial
applications. The computers use either the RISC-based
ARM9, Intel XScale, or X86 processor to provide powerful
communication and computing functions. In addition, an
ample number of serial ports that support different interfaces
are available for connecting a variety of industrial devices to
a network for demanding numerical computing, protocol
conversion, and data processing tasks. Some of MOXA’s
embedded computers even come with a USB 2.0 port,
CompactFlash, SD interfaces for storage expansion, and a
PCMCIA socket for adding wireless communication capability,
and the pre-built, ready-to-run Linux/Windows CE platforms
are easy to access, so that software programmers can
concentrate on developing their own application programs.
