Remote RCP Import
As we pointed out earlier, RCP is a file transfer protocol that does not require a password.
1. Login to your UNIX/LINUX host. For example, login to 203.67.8.22 as user john.
2. Create a file named .rhosts in this directory. Enter CN2510’s IP address, e.g., 192.168.205.21,
or CN2510’s domain name (if it’s defined in your /etc/hosts file), in the .rhosts file.
3. Telnet CN2510’s IP address.
4. After accessing CN2510’s MAIN MENU, select seTting Æ Import. In Import via column,
select Network host (using RCP).
5. Enter the UNIX/LINUX host’s IP address for Host name/IP address.
6. Enter CN2510’s firmware file name on the UNIX/LINUX host for File name.
7. Enter the user name required to login to the UNIX/LINUX host for User name.
8. Press CTRL-U to start.

CN2510 can restore default settings if necessary. Note that the IP address will not be changed to
default.
1. From the MAIN MENU select seTting, and then press Enter.
