Port Events Warning Relay output is triggered when…
Link-ON The port is connected to another device.
Link-OFF The port is disconnected (e.g., the cable is pulled out, or the opposing device
shuts down).
Traffic-Overload The port’s traffic surpasses the Traffic-Threshold for that port (provided this item
is Enabled).
Traffic-Threshold (%) Enter a non-zero number if the port’s Traffic-Overload item is Enabled.
Traffic-Duration (sec.) A Traffic-Overload warning is sent every Traffic-Duration seconds if the average
Traffic-Threshold is surpassed during that time period.
NOTE
The
Traffic-Overload, Traffic-Threshold (%), and Traffic-Duration (sec) Port Event items are relat
ed. If
you Enable the Traffic
-Overload event, then be sure to enter a non-zero Traffic-
Threshold percentage, as well
as a Traffic
-Duration between 1 and 300 seconds.
System Log Settings
System Log Settings allow the administrator to customize which network events are logged by the NPort S8000.
Events are grouped into four categories, known as event groups, and the administrator selects which groups to
log under Local Log. The actual system events that would be logged for each system group are listed under
summary. For example, if System was enabled, then System Cold Start events and System Warm Start events
would be logged.
