Active Ethernet I/O for SNMP-based Remote Site Monitoring
Centralized server room management is mainly achieved using SNMP-based
solutions, in fields such as the telecom industry, the military, universities, and
many others. However, SCADA systems are the typical choice for monitoring
environmental information such as device open/close status, temperature levels,
and enclosure humidity levels. With MOXA’s Active Ethernet I/O, not only can
SNMP management be used to monitor remote server and router equipment,
it can also be used to monitor remote I/O sensors. All information can thus be
integrated into a single SNMP-based system, lowering workloads and improving
performance.
