Enable
Save the current configurations to ABC
To export the current configuration file of the EDS-516A, click on Save to save it to the ABC.
Load the ABC’s configurations to the Switch
To import the configuration file of the EDS-516A, click on Load to load it to the Switch.
Restart
This function is used to restart the Moxa EtherDevice Switch.
Factory Default
The Factory Default function is included to give users a quick way of restoring the EDS-516A’s
configuration settings to their factory default values. This function is available in the Console
utility (serial or Telnet), and Web Browser interface.
NOTE
After activating the Factory Default function, you will need to use the default network settings to
re-establish a web-browser or Telnet connection with your EDS-516A.
Using Port Trunking
Link Aggregation allows one or more links to be aggregated together to form a Link Aggregation
Group. A MAC client can treat Link Aggregation Groups as if they were a single link.
EDS-516A’s Port Trunking feature allows devices to communicate by aggregating up to 2 trunk
groups, with a maximum of 8 ports for each group. If one of the 8 ports fails, the other seven ports
will provide back up and share the traffic automatically.
