Important Safety Information
WARNING Please read these safety warnings and cautions carefully to ensure your personal
safety and prevent property damage. Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in
fire, electric shock, or other injuries, or damage to mc.brick or other property. Read all the
safety information below before using mc.brick.
Handling Handle mc.brick with care. It is made of metal and plastic and has sensitive electronic
components inside. Do not place mc.brick on high surfaces such as shelves. During music
playback mc.brick may move which could cause mc.brick to shift and fall off the edge. Do not
drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint,
or insert foreign objects in your mc.brick. Such actions could result in electric shock and may
cause injury. Your mc.brick can also be damaged if it comes in contact with liquid. Do not
expose your mc.brick to liquid, moisture, humidity, or rain. Do not use mc.brick near a bathtub,
sink, sauna, pool, or steam room. Exposure of mc.brick to moisture could result in electric
shock. Never use a damaged mc.brick as it may cause injury.
Distraction and automobile accident hazard Using mc.brick in some circumstances can distract
you and may cause a dangerous situation. Do not leave or store your mc.brick or any of its
accessories near or over your automobile’s air bag because serious injury may result when an
air bag deploys.
Hearing loss Listening to sound at high volumes may damage your hearing. Background noise,
as well as continued exposure to high volume levels, can make sounds seem quieter than they
actually are. For information about how to set the volume on mc.brick, see Controlling your
music on page 5.
WARNING To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long
periods.
Charging Charge mc.brick with the included USB cable. You can also charge it using a Mova
Systems USB power adapter (available separately), or with other third-party "Made for
mc.brick" cables and power adapters that are compatible with USB 2.0, or power adapters
