Fit the appropriate plug according to the
instructions in paragraph “Fitting a plug”. With
alternative plugs a 5 amp fuse must be fitted
either in the plug or adaptor or at the main fuse
box.
APPLIANCES WITHOUT FITTED PLUG
FITTING A PLUG - IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
But the colours may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter ‘N’ or coloured black. The wire
which is coloured BROWN must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter
‘L’ or coloured red.
This appliance is manufactured to conform to
the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety)
Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply
with BS 3456/BS EN 60335-1:1995. It complies
with the requirements of the EEC Directive
(89/336/EEC).
- Your appliance is intended solely for
domestic use.
- Never touch the parts of the appliance when
in use
- Never handle the blades of the hand blender
foot attachment when the appliance is
connected
- Never operate the hand blender foot
attachment when empty
- Do not remove the attachments until the
appliance is unplugged
- Unplug the appliance after use and before
cleaning
- Do not pull the mains lead to unplug the
appliance
- If the mains lead or the plug are damaged,
do not use your appliance. In order to avoid
any accident, these must be replaced by an
approved Moulinex Centre (see list in the
leaflet «Moulinex Service»).
- Never take the appliance apart
- Always allow the appliance to cool down for
a few minutes before re-using
- The beaker, bowl and filter sieve are not
suitable for use in a microwave oven.
- Do not use continuously for more than 2
minutes, this will prevent the motor
overheating.

for the first time
- Clean the attachments in warm soapy water.

Using the attachments
With the hand blender foot attachment (E),
you can prepare soups, vegetable purées,
stewed fruits, sauces
. Using the hand blender foot attachment
- Fit the hand blender foot attachment (E) on
to the motor unit (A) until it clicks in to place.
Gently turn if necessary.
- Connect the appliance and press the on
button (B).
- For models with electronic speed regulator
(C) select a speed from 1 - 5 according to
the desired density of mixture.
- Press the ejection button (D) to remove the
hand blender foot attachment.
. Practical advice
- Always use a container large enough for
mixing in:
. the container must only be filled to 2/3
volume to prevent overflowing.
. the mixture must at least cover the base of
the hand blender foot attachment in order to
guarantee effective mixing.
- Remove the cooking containers from any
source of heat when mixing hot preparations.
- You may move the hand blender foot
attachment around in the container to
optimise mixing.
- When using stringy ingredients (leeks,
celery) clean the hand blender foot
attachment regularly during use by closely
following the safety guidelines for removing
and cleaning the attachments.
- For fruit-based mixtures, cut the fruit
beforehand and remove seeds / stones.
- To make mayonnaise: place the ingredients
into the beaker (F), place the hand blender
foot attachment into the bottom of the beaker,
switch on, and make a slow, circular motion
up and down.
- To make coulis / fine purée, use the filter
sieve (G). Place it into the beaker (F), pour
in the ingredients and then mix.
- Do not use the hand blender foot attachment
with hard ingredients, such as coffee, ice-
cubes, sugar cubes, cereals, chocolate. This
