basics basics here are some basics to get you started turn it on & off Press and hold O for a few seconds or until the display turns on. make & answer calls To make a call, enter a phone number and press N. To answer a call, when your phone rings and/or vibrates, just open the flip or press N. Note: Your service provider programs one or more emergency phone numbers, such as 911 or 112, that you can call under any circumstances. Check with your service provider, as emergency numbers vary by country.
basics end a call To hang up, close the flip or press O. store a phone number To store a phone number in your Phonebook: 1 2 3 4 Enter a phone number in the home screen. 5 Enter a name for the phone number, and enter other information as desired. (Press S up or down to highlight entry areas. To select a highlighted entry area, press s.) 6 Press Save to store the entry. 10 Press Save. With Create New Contact highlighted, press s.

personalize personalize go ahead, add your personal touch... home screen shortcuts From the home screen, press the navigation key up, down, left, or right to go directly to your favorite features. To change the home screen shortcuts: Find it: s > u Settings > Phone > Shortcuts Select a direction, then choose the feature you want to access when you press the navigation key in that direction. You can show or hide the icons in the home screen that indicate the shortcuts for the navigation key.
personalize ringtones To set ringtones for incoming calls and for other events (such as new messages): Set Master Volume to High, Med High, Medium, Low Med, Low, Vibrate Only, Alarm Only, 1 Beep, or All sounds off. Then, select and assign ringtones. set master volume From the home screen, press the volume keys up or down to select a Master Volume setting: High, Med High, Medium, Low Med, Low—Phone rings for incoming calls and other events, depending on the detail settings.

Find it: s > u Settings > Display > Wallpaper 1 Select Main Screen (the screen you see when the flip is open) or Front Screen (the screen you see with the flip closed) and press s. 2 To assign a single picture as a wallpaper, select Single and press s, then scroll to the picture you want and press s.
personalize skins Set the overall look and feel of your phone’s screen. Find it: s > u Settings > Display > Skins 1 2 Scroll to the name of a skin and press s. Press O to return to the main screen.
external control buttons external control buttons press & go ... using external buttons With your phone’s flip closed, you can use external control buttons to play music, turn on Bluetooth® power, or mute the phone. external control buttons Tip: Lock the external control buttons when not using them so you don’t accidentally activate them when the flip is closed. To lock the buttons, press and hold the smart/speakerphone key. Press and hold the smart/ speakerphone key again to unlock them. mute button During a call, press the mute button to mute your voice. You will still be able to hear the other party. Press the mute button again to unmute your voice.
external control buttons Bluetooth® power button To turn Bluetooth power on and off, press the Bluetooth button X. For more information on Bluetooth wireless connections, see your User’s Guide. music player buttons To activate the music player or resume music playback after closing the flip, press the music player play/pause button y. Use the music player touch controls to control music playback (see the next section).

Playlists Create or play a playlist. Artists Play music by an artist. Albums Play music from an album. Genres Play music by genre (type of music) such as rock or jazz.

music playlists Personalize your music collection by creating your own playlists. When you name a playlist: • The name must be fewer than 32 characters. • The name cannot include these characters: / \ : * ?<>|"! To create a playlist: Find it: s > — Music Player > Playlists 1 2 3 Press Options and select Create Playlist. 4 Press Ò when you finish adding songs. Enter a name for the playlist and press Done.
music To delete a playlist: Find it: s > — Music Player > Playlists 1 2 3 Scroll to the playlist and press Options. Scroll to Delete Playlist and press s. When prompted to confirm the deletion, select Yes. wake up music player While the music player is active, your phone may conserve battery power by turning off the external display and external control buttons (if the flip is closed) or the inside display and keypad backlights (if the flip is open).
