Installing the Battery Charging the Battery Your phone is designed to use only Motorol aOriginal batteries and accessories. Using Photos and Pictures You can send your photos to other mobile phone users or email addresses, assign photos to specific phonebook entries, and use them as wallpaper or screen saver images. Receiving a Multimedia Message (MMS) When you receive an MMS message, your phone displays the message indicator r and the notification, and sounds an alert. Turning Bluetooth On or Off The preferred method for connecting your phone to a Bluetooth headset or handsfree car kit is to turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then connect your phone to the headset or car kit.

Using the Smart Key Returning an Unanswered Call The smart key gives you another way to perform many basic phone functions. It anticipates the next action you are likely to perform. For example, when you highlight a menu item, you can press the smart key to select it. You can use the smart key to make and end calls, turn features on and off, and open your contacts list. The smart key usually performs the same function as the right sof tke y+.
If you forget your unlock code, try entering 1234 or the last 4 digits of your phone number. Setting Up Your Phone Setting a Ring Style You can set the following ring styles on your phone: • %# • ) • . • . : • Each ring style is a profile that uses a different set of ring tone alerts or vibration alerts to notify you of incoming calls, text messages, and other events. Calling Features For basic instructions on how to make and answer calls, see page 21. Turning Off a Call Alert You can turn off your phone’s incoming call alert before answering the call. Viewing Recent Calls Your phone keeps lists of incoming and outgoing calls, even for calls that did not connect. The most recent calls are listed first.

This can be a phone number that you called, or a number that you jot down during a call, for later use.
The phone calls your voicemail phone number. If no voicemail number is stored, your phone prompts you to store a number. Storing Your Voicemail Number If necessary, use the following procedure to store your voicemail phone number on your phone. Usually, Vodafone has already done this for you.
