5.1.19 logging
Global Configuration Commands
Use this command to modify message logging facilities.
Syntax
logging(aggregation-time|buffered|console|facility|host|monitor|on|syslog)
logging aggregation-time(<1-20>)
logging buffered(<0-7>|alerts|critical|debugging|emergencies|errors|
informational|notifications|warnings)
Parameters
aggregation-time Sets number of seconds (between 1 - 120) for aggregating repeated messages.
buffered Sets the buffered logging level.
console Sets the console logging level.
monitor Sets the terminal line logging level.
syslog Sets the syslog servers logging level.
<0-7> Enters the logging severity level (between 0 - 7)
alerts Immediate action needed, (severity=1).
critical Critical conditions, (severity=2).
debugging Debugging messages, (severity=7).
emergencies System is unusable, (severity=0).
errors Error conditions, (severity=3).
informational Informational messages, (severity=6).
notifications Normal but significant conditions, (severity=5).
warnings Warning conditions, (severity=4).
facility Syslog facility in which log messages are sent.
local0 Syslog facility local0.
