ip dhcp [bootp|class|
excluded-address|option|
ping|pool]
DHCP server configuration.
• bootp ignore – Defines the BOOTP specific configuration.
• ignore – Configures the DHCP server to ignore BOOTP
requests.
• class <class-name> – Defines a DHCP class and enters
the DHCP class configuration mode.
• <class-name> – The DHCP class name.
• excluded-address <IP-range-low> {<IP-range-high>} –
Prevents the DHCP server from assigning certain
addresses.
• <ip-range-low> – For IP range, the lower IP number.
Enter this value for a single IP address.
• <ip-range-high> – Optional. For IP range, the higher IP
number.
• option <option-name> <option-code> [ascii|ip] – Defines
the DHCP server’s option name.
• <option-name> – Defines the name of the option.
• <option-code> – Defines option code, a value in the
range of 0 to 254.
• ascii – Specify the option type as ascii.
• ip – Specify the option type as ip.
• ping timeout <1-10> – Specifies DHCP server’s ping
timeout in seconds.
• pool <pool-name> – Configures the DHCP server’s
address pool <pool-name>. This opens the
(config-dhcp) instance. For more information, see
Chapter 17, DHCP Server Instance.
domain-lookup Enables the DNS based name to address translation on the
switch.
domain-name
<domain-name>
Sets the domain name for the switch.
• <domain-name> – The domain name string.
