Associated role information is forwarded to the RF Switch from the Radius server as a vendor specific
attribute. One or more associated roles must be defined for each management user on the Radius server so
the RF Switch knows what permissions to assign the user upon successful authentication. If no associated
role is assigned, the user is provided read-only access.
The following table provides details on the associated role vendor specific attribute that can be defined on
the Radius server to determine management user permissions:

• IETF Vendor ID - 388
• Attribute Number - 1
• Attribute Type - Integer
Switch Web UI Configuration
The following demonstrates how to define a Radius server IP address, shared key and how to enable Radius
server management authentication:
1. From the switch menu tree select Management Access > Users.
2. Select the Authentication tab.
