D.5 Secure Device Management
A RF Switch can be managed by multiple interfaces, including SNMP, CLI and Web UI. By default,
management access to the RF Switch is unrestricted, allowing management access to any enabled IP
interface from any host using any enabled management service.
To enhance security on the RF Switch, administrators can apply various restrictions as needed that can be
used to:
• Restrict SNMP, CLI and Web UI access to a specific IP interface
• Restrict SNMP, CLI and Web UI access to specific hosts or subnets
• Disable un-used or insecure management interfaces
• Provide authentication for management users
• Apply access restrictions and permissions to management users based on identity
