D.2.4.5 Location Zones
The final step for defining the site is specifying zones where tracked clients are placed. When tracking
clients, the integrated location engine associates each tracked client with a zone and provides a more
specific X, Y coordinate zone estimation for the client. Tracked clients that cannot associate to a zone are
placed in a default zone.
For this example, the location site contains three zones (Office, Secure Area and Warehouse). Each zone is
assigned a unique zone ID. Each zone’s perimeter is defined by entering the X, Y coordinates for each point
of the zones perimeter in order (clockwise or counterclockwise). A zone’s perimeter must include a minimum
of 3 points, and must not exceed 16 points. Additionally, a zone’s perimeter must not overlap another defined
zone.
