The computed X/Y coordinate and zone for each client can be viewed directly on the RF Switch using CLI or
Web-UI or exported to a third-party application for visualization on a floor plan using the standards based
ALE application interface.
D.2.3 Network Topology
The following network topology was used for this Integrated WLAN RTLS “how to” tutorial:
Location Attribute Description
MAC Address The MAC Address for each client discovered by the switch.
X coordinate The estimated X coordinate for each client in relation to the defined
origin point (0,0) of the site.
Y coordinate The estimated Y coordinate for each client in relation to the defined
origin point (0,0) of the site.
Timestamp The last time each client's location was computed by the switch.
Zone The last known zone for each client. When no zones are defined the
RF Switch will list clients in a default zone.
