4.9.4 Configuring Secure WiSPe
To configure Secure WiSPe:
1. Select Network > Access Port from the main menu tree.
2. Click the Secure WiSPe tab.
VLAN ID Enter a global default VLAN ID for all radios configured as sensors.
Ping Interval Define the ping interval (in seconds) the switch uses to contact the radios defined
as sensors.
Use DHCP to obtain
IP address
automatically
Select this option to allow the switch’s DHCP managed services to assign an IP
address to a WIPS sensor.
Subnet Mask Assign a subnet mask to the WIPS Server.
Gateway IP Address Assign a gateway address to the WIPS Server.
Primary WIPS Server
Address
Define the first choice IP address where the switch managed network will attempt
to obtain rogue device information from a WIPS Server.
Secondary WIPS
Server Address
Define an alternate (second choice) IP address where the switch managed
network will attempt to obtain rogue device information from a WIPS Server.
Index Displays the numeric value assigned to each sensor AP.
MAC Address Displays the Media Access Control (MAC) address for each sensor AP.
VLAN Displays the VLAN that each sensor AP is associated with.
Last Heard (sec) Displays the number of seconds since the switch last received packets from each
sensor AP.
IP Address Displays the current IP address for each sensor AP.
Revert to AP Select a sensor AP from the table and click the Revert to AP button to return to
convert the AP back to a standard Access Port.
