Getting More Out of Your Phone - 103
Install the Software
Install the software from the CD-ROM that comes with your
Motorola Original data kit. See the data kit’s user guide for more
information.
Making a Data or Fax Call
You can connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device to
send data or a fax from the connected device.
Attach the cable (see page 102) and do the following:
Receiving a Data or Fax Call
You can connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device to
receive data or a fax.
Use this feature to transfer data to your computer from another
device.
Transfer the Data or Fax
Connect your phone (see page 102).
Do This To
1 Check the phone make sure that the phone is
connected and powered on
2 Open the
application on
your computer
place the call through the
application (such as
dial-up-networking)
Note: You cannot dial data or
fax numbers through your
phone’s keypad. You must dial
them through your computer.
3 End the transfer
on your computer
close the call and connection
when the transfer is complete
