Logging into Voicemail
To access your Voicemail messages at any time:
For information on how to use Voicemail after you have logged in, see “Nextel
Voicemail” on page 85.
Text and Numeric Messaging
With Nextel Text and Numeric Messaging, Nextel will:
• Allow text (alpha) messages up to 140 characters in length.
• Allow numeric messages up to 20 characters in length when a caller
presses 1 at your Voicemail greeting.
Press C under EXIT. The
y icon will appear on the idle screen to
remind you that you have a stored Voicemail message.
1 Go to the Message Center screen (see
“Message Center” on page 103). If
Voicemail is not highlighted, press S to
scroll to Vo ice ma il. The number of new
messages and the total number of
messages are displayed.
2 Press C under CALL to log into Nextel Voicemail. Calling displays as
you are connected to the network.
NOTE:If your hear a message that says, “Enter the phone number
of the subscriber you are trying to reach,” enteryourown
10-digit Nextel Personal Telephone Number. When the
greeting plays, press
* to receive a password prompt.
3 When prompted, enter your password.
