channels and codes
Your phone has 10 channels and 15 codes.
Channels
are divided into sets of frequencies
that allow you to make and receive MOTOtalk
calls. Other parties may also be talking on the
same channel.
Codes
help minimize interference from
unwanted messages and other disturbances
when you are on the same channel as others.
To have a conversation, all parties must be on
the same channel and code. For private
MOTOtalk calls, the person you are calling
must be in MOTOtalk and set to the same
channel to receive your call.
Note:
When making a code call, all parties
that are on your code and channel can hear
your conversation.
