Direct Connect call. See “Understanding Status Messages” on
page 103.
Receiving Private Calls
When you receive a Direct Connect call, your phone will switch to Prvt
Ready. You will hear a chirp indicating that someone is calling you.
Press and hold the Push-To-Talk button to talk and release it to listen.
Quickstore of Private IDs
Quickstore allows you to quickly store a received or sent Private ID
without having to enter the Programming menu.
With the Private ID displayed:
1 Press m until you see Prvt Ready.
2 Press lr to scroll through the names.
Or,
press n until “Name” appears. Pressounder “Name” and enter
the first initial of the name then press lr to scroll through the names.
3 Press and hold the Push-To-Talk button on the side of the phone.
The person’s phone will chirp to alert them that someone is
calling.
4 Release the Push-To-Talk button to listen.
1 Pressounder “Store”.
2 Enter the name associated with the Private ID.
3 Pressounder “Store”. The Stored message displays with the
name that you entered.
