Format: ABC XY-Z
• A = Country
• B = Location
• C = Agency
• X = Department
• YZ = Random within department
Note: On local networks, “A” may be omitted.
Example:
KF81 = Kilo Foxtrot Eight One = WFP Kabul ICT staff
Standard Callsigns for HF and VHF Mobiles
Format: Country, Agency, Mobile – HF Selcall number of the vehicle radio
Example: November Foxtrot Mobile 3601 (Vehicle operating in Sudan)
The letter November (N) may be dropped if there is no likelihood of cross border
interference.
Example: Foxtrot Mobile 3601
