Element Unit Description
RTP Source ASCII string Stream source
--- Stream ---
Bit rate kbps An instant snapshot of the incoming bit rate in kilobits per second.
Bit rate average kbps An average value of the current stream bit rate calculated over the last 10
seconds.
Frame rate fps Frame rate of the current video stream (not applicable for audio).
Skipped packets # of packets Packets that were not received or skipped by the stream decoder. Network
lost and invalid packets will automatically trig an equal amount of skipped
packets. However skipped packets by the stream decoder can also occur
without any network error. This could be caused by a client system
slowdown in processing the incoming stream.
Processing time micro-seconds Time required to decode one frame of data on the client application for the
source you are currently watching (either video or audio).
Processing rate fps Frame rate achieved when decoding the stream of data.
This must be greater than the real frame rate. This value is calculated from
the processing time (in seconds):
fps = 1 frame / processing time in second.
The processing rate defines how quickly your client application can decode
the incoming stream. Normally , a fast computer will produce a very high fps,
whereas a slow one will produce a lower fps.
