9.7 Answer machine settings
9.7.1 Ring delay
Select the duration of rings before your answer machine
picks up the call. Choose from 2-9 Rings or Toll Saver.
NOTE
If Toll Saver is selected, then:
• If you have new messages your phone answers after 2
Rings.
• If there are no new messages it will answer after 6 Rings.
So you have the option to hang up, saving the time and
cost of a call.
• If the memory is full, it will answer after 14 Rings in
Answer Only mode.

ANSW MACHINE
and press
m.

ANSW SETTINGS
and press m.
3.
RING DELAY
is displayed. Press m.
4.
Scroll u or d to select 2-9 Rings or
TOLL SAVER
.
5.
Press m to confirm.
9.8 Remote access
Remote access allows you to operate your answer machine
and listen to your messages by calling your D1010 from
another phone.
The default setting is on.
1.
Call your D1010. When you hear your outgoing
message, press #.
2.
Enter your 4 digit PIN. The default code is
0000
.
- You hear a confirmation beep.
NOTE
Change this code for increased security, see “PIN” on
page 33.
3.
After entering your PIN as stated above, use the keypad
to operate your D1010 answer machine:
Play messages 2
Play previous message 1
Play next message 3
Delete message playing 6
Switch answer machine on 7
Stop playback 8
Switch answer machine off 9
