Testing the emulator and target system
After you have connected and configured the emulator, you should
perform some simple tests to verify that everything is working.

To test memory accesses

Start the Emulation Control Interface and configure the
emulator, if necessary.

Open the Memory window.

Write individual locations or fill blocks of memory with patterns
of your choosing.
The access size is the size of memory access that will be used to write
or read the memory values.

Use the Memory I/O window to stimulate I/O locations by reading
and writing individual memory locations.
To test with a running program
To more fully test your target, you can load simple programs and
execute them.

Compile or assemble a small program and store it in a Motorola S-
Record or Intel Hex file.

Use the Load Executable window to download the program into
