Chapter 7: Using the Emulator with a Debugger
Setting up Debugger Software
To verify communication with the emulator
1 Telnet to the IP address.
For example, on a UNIX system, enter “telnet <
IP_address
> 6472”.
This connection will give you access to the emulator’s built-in terminal
interface. You should see a prompt, such as “M>”.
2 At the prompt, type:
ver
You should then see information about the emulator and firmware
version.
3 To exit from this telnet session, type
<CTRL>D
at the prompt.
