Memory Power Macintosh - 1 3
Power Macintosh
7200 Series
The Power Macintosh 7200
Series logic boards have four
DRAM DIMM slots, each with
a 64-bit data bus. You can
increase the computer’s
DRAM to a total of 256 MB
using 5-volt, 64-bit-wide,
168-pin, fast-paged mode,
70ns DIMMs.

Memory Information
DRAM Speed 70 ns
DIMM Type 168-pin
Soldered DRAM None
Number of DIMM Slots 4
Supported Sizes in MB 4, 8, 16, 32
Maximum DRAM 256 MB
Virtual Memory 1 GB
Soldered VRAM 1 MB
Number of VRAM Slots 3
Note:
DRAM DIMMs can be installed
individually or in pairs. These computers
support linear memory only; therefore, no
memory gains are seen when two DIMMs of
the same size are installed (that is, memory
interleaving is not supported on the Power
Macintosh 7200 Series computers).
Note:
The Single In-Line Memory Modules
(SIMMs) used in previous Macintosh models
are
compatible with the Power Macintosh
7200.
Note:
These computers do not have any main
memory soldered to the logic board. At least
one DRAM DIMM must be installed for the
computer to operate.
DRAM Configurations
8 MB The Power Macintosh 7200
Series logic boards have 8 MB
