The Power Macintosh 4400/
160 has no DRAM soldered
onto the logic board. You can
expand the amount of memory
to a total of 96 MB by
installing DRAM DIMMs.
Note:
The logic board has a 120-pin video
DIMM connector that allows the use of EDO
RAM or SGRAM. The video controller
supports the following for video memory:
1 or 2 MB of EDO RAM
2 or 4 MB of SGRAM

Note:
DRAM DIMMs can be installed one or
more at a time. Slot 1 supports only single-
bank DIMMs. Slots 2 and 3 support both
single-bank and dual-bank DIMMs.
Note:
The Single In-Line Memory Modules
(SIMMs) used in previous Macintosh models
are NOT compatible with the Power
Macintosh 4400.
Note:
This computer does not have any main
memory soldered to the logic board. At least
one DRAM DIMM must be installed for the
computer to operate.
Note:
The PM4400/160 comes with 1 MB
of VRAM installed.
