Memory WorkGroup Servers - 6
Workgroup Server
8150
The Workgroup Server 8150
has 8 or 16 MB of DRAM
soldered onto the logic board.
You can expand the amount of
memory to a total of 264 MB
by installing DRAM SIMMs.
VRAM Note:
VRAM can be expanded to 4 MB
by inserting four 68-pin, 80 ns SIMMs in
connectors on the VRAM Expansion card.
Memory Information
DRAM Speed 80 ns
SIMM Type 72-pin
Soldered DRAM 8/16 MB
Number of SIMM Slots 8
Supported Sizes in MB 4, 8, 16, 32
Maximum DRAM 264 MB
Virtual Memory 1 GB
Soldered VRAM None
Number of VRAM Slots See VRAM Note
Note:
SIMMs must be installed in pairs, and
both SIMMs in the pair must be of the same
size; Failure to do so will result in the Power
Mac thinking both SIMMs are of the (wrong)
density. System crashes are possible in this
situation.
You can install different size SIMMs just as
long as you install them in matched pairs; for
example, you could install a pair of 8 MB
SIMMs and a pair of 32 MB SIMMs.
