Memory WorkGroup Servers - 5
WorkGroup Server
7250
The WorkGroup Server 7250
logic board has four DRAM
DIMM slots, each with a 64-
bit data bus. You can increase
the computer’s DRAM to a
total of 256 MB using 5-
volt, 64-bit-wide, 168-
pin, fast-paged mode, 70ns
DIMMs.

Memory Information
DRAM Speed 70 ns
DIMM Type 168-pin
Soldered DRAM None
Number of DIMM Slots 4
Supported Sizes in MB 4, 8, 16, 32
Maximum DRAM 256 MB
Virtual Memory 1 GB
Soldered VRAM 1 MB
Number of VRAM Slots 3
Note:
DRAM DIMMs can be installed
individually or in pairs. These computers
support linear memory only; therefore, no
memory gains are seen when two DIMMs of
the same size are installed (that is, memory
interleaving is not supported on the WS 7250
computers). The DRAM slots are numbered,
but DRAM can be installed in any order.
Note:
The Single In-Line Memory Modules
(SIMMs) used in previous Macintosh models
are
compatible with the WS 7250.
Note:
These computers do not have any main
memory soldered to the logic board. At least
one DRAM DIMM must be installed for the
computer to operate.
DRAM Configurations
16 MB The WS 7250 logic board has
16 MB of DRAM installed.
Up to
256 MB
Use 4, 8, 16, or 32 MB 168-
pin DIMMs.
