Macintosh II
The Macintosh II originally
shipped in a number of
configurations. It requires
PAL type SIMMs in densities
higher than 1MB. Verify with
your memory vendor that the
SIMMs are compatible with
the Macintosh II.
Note:
Mitsubishi 1 MB
SIMMs for the Macintosh IIx,
which are labeled "For 030
System Only," should be used
only in systems with 68030
microprocessors.
Note:
If 4 MB or 16 MB SIMMs are used,
they cannot be installed in Bank A. If the
SuperDrive Upgrade (M6051/C) and the
68851 PMMU Upgrade Kit are installed,
this anomaly is alleviated and the128 MB
configuration is possible.
