Google Maps: Latitude – Set-up

See where your friends and family are on Google Maps. Don’t worry, your

location is not shared unless you agree to it. You need to join Latitude,

and then invite your friends to view your location or accept their invitations.

Setting up Latitude:

1: From the home screen, touch Maps > Menu Key >

Join Latitude.

Once you join Latitude, you will see your location, as well

as the last time the GPS located you. Your location will

now be visible to users whom you accept as friends on

Latitude.

In order to someone’s location, you must first add

them as a friend on Latitude. Here’s how:

1: From the Latitude application, touch the Menu Key >

Add friends.

2: You can Select from Contacts, or you can Add via

email address. Tap the desired option, then either select

a contact, or enter an email address and touch Add

friends.

3: A sharing request will be sent to your friend. In order

to connect, they must confirm you as a friend.

Cut, Copy, and Paste

1: To cut or copy the entire contents of a text box, just

touch and hold the text box, then select either Cut all,

or Copy all.

To cut or copy part of the text in a text box, slide open

the handset’s keyboard, then hold the shift key, and

use the directional key to highlight the needed text.

Then touch and hold the text, and select Cut or Copy.

2: To paste the recently cut or copied text, touch and

hold the text box you would like to add the text to, and

then select Paste.
