Join Contacts (to Avoid Duplicates)
Your device allows you to sync contacts from Gmail,
Facebook, Corporate Email, and more. While your device
does a great job at joining most contacts to reduce
duplicates, you may have a few duplicates that remain due
to the contact names not matching exactly. Here’s how to
manually join those contacts:
1: From the home screen, touch Contacts.
2: Locate and touch a duplicate contact entry > Menu
key > Edit contact.
3: Touch the Menu key > select Join.
4: Your device will suggest contacts that are likely to be
duplicates of the contact you selected. If for some reason
the contact you are looking for is not in the Suggested
contacts, simply scroll down to view all of your contacts.
Once you locate the contact you would like to join with,
select it and touch Done.
NOTE: If the device has joined too many contacts to one, you also
have the option to separate them.
Add a New Contact
1: From the home screen, touch Contacts .
2: Touch the Menu Key .
3: Touch New contact.
4: Continue to follow the on-screen prompts then touch
Done when you are finished.
(When filling out data fields, touch the field to bring up the
touchpad so you can enter data. When you are done
with a field, touch Next.)
Import Contacts from an SD Card
NOTE: Contacts must be vCards, i.e. vcf format.
1: Insert the SD card into the memory slot.
2: From the home screen, touch Contacts > Menu Key >
Import/Export > Import from SD card > then follow the
remaining on-screen prompts to complete the task.
Set Contact as a Favorite
1: From the home screen, touch Contacts.
2: Touch the contact you wish to set as a favorite.
3: Touch the star to the right of the contact’s name. That
contact will now be visible on the Favorites tab of the
Contacts app.
