Entering Text
General Text Entry Rules
Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its
characters. See “Character Chart” on page 46.
• If you do not press a key for two seconds, the
character in the block cursor is accepted, and the
cursor moves to the next position.
• The first character of every sentence is capitalized.
(Press
S
down to force the character to lowercase
while it is highlighted by the block cursor).
Press a number
key as many
times as
necessary
to enter the
desired
character at
flashing cursor
location.
Change
letter in
block cursor
to uppercase
or lowercase.
Press and hold
a number key to
cycle between
tap method
and
numeric mode
.
Move flashing
cursor to the
left or right in
text message.
