Your Nextel phone number cannot be blocked from
calls made to 911, 800, 855, 866, 877, 888, or other
toll-free phone numbers.
Per-Line Blocking
You can request that Nextel Customer Service
permanently block delivery of your phone number on
every call you make. In this case, you may need to
display your number for certain calls.
To show your number on a per-call basis:
䊳 Press *82 before dialing the call.
Call Waiting
Call Waiting lets you receive a second call while on an
active call. Call Waiting is always available, unless you
turn it off for a specific call.
If you are on a call and receive a second call, your
phone emits a tone and displays a message.
To accept the second call and put the active call on hold:
䊳 Press Yes (left softkey).
To accept the second call and end the active call:
1. Press @. Your phone rings with the second call.
2. Answer the second call.
To decline the second call:
䊳 Press No (right softkey). If you subscribe to
voicemail, the call is forwarded to your voicemail
box, unless you set
Call Forward or If Busy to a
different number.
Turn Off Call Waiting
To turn off Call Waiting before a call:
䊳 Press *70 before dialing the call. Call Waiting
is reactivated once the call ends.
To turn off Call Waiting during a call:
䊳 Press / > In Call Setup > Call Waiting > Off.
Tip: To turn Call Waiting back on while still on the call, set this
option to
On.
