24 Text entry
DTMF Tones
Your phone can send Short or Long Dual Tone Multi
Frequency (DTMF) tones for calling card calls or
other automated touch-tone calls.
To set up DTMF tones:
> u Settings > Call > DTMF Tones
3-way calling
Note: Network/Service dependent.
During a call, dial the next number and press, then
press again.

Tex t e ntry
When you need to enter text (such as in a text
message), you can use the keypad. Your phone
changes to a text entry mode, indicated by an icon at
the top of your screen.
Note: Your phone may not contain all of the languages
listed.
To set your preferred text entry mode, press Options
> Entry Mode, then select the entry mode.
To change capitalization, press * to switch and
select the option you want.

Let the phone predict each English
word as you press keys.

Spanish
Let the phone predict each Spanish
word as you press keys.
Abc Enter letters and number, first
character of a sentence in uppercase.
ABC Enter letters and numbers, all
characters in uppercase (not available
when editing a contact).
123 Enter numbers only.
Symbols Enter symbols.
