Muting the Keypad Tones
The radio’s keypad tones, normally heard each
time a keypad key is pressed, can be turned off
(muted) or on (unmuted) at your discretion. To
use the keypad mute feature:
1. Press the right arrow key ( ) until “MUTE”
appears on the display.
2. Press the key below “MUTE.” The current mute
state (“TONES ON” = keypad tones unmuted;
“TONES OFF” = keypad tones muted) appears on
the display for a few seconds.
Then, the display shows “ON” and “OFF.”
3. Press the key below the desired mute state (on
or off). The radio automatically returns to the
home display.
