General Radio Features
Transmit While Scan Is On
Radio Programmed for Talkback Scan
Press the microphone PTT
button to transmit on the
mode indicated by the dis-
play.
The radio does not begin
scanning again for a prede-
termined hang time (pro-
grammable by a qualified
radio technician) after you
release the PTT button,
allowing the other party to
respond.
If the other party responds
within the hang time, scan-
ning does not resume until
the full hang time expires
after they have finished
speaking, allowing the con-
versation to be completed.
Note: To transmit on the selected channel if another channel is
active, first turn scan off by pressing the Scan button
momentarily.
