This major release supports VSELP only.
06.xx.xx
This was the first DSP release for IMBE™
operation. It does not support subscriber AGC, and
is the most inferior sounding IMBE™ codec.
Anyone still using release 6 needs to upgrade
immediately. Reproduced audio during packet-loss
is extremely robotic sounding.
07.xx.xx
Some minor improvement over the audio
characteristics of IMBE™ DSP release 6. As of
07.03.09 it supports subscriber AGC, if used with
host firmware R07.01.01 or higher, with subscriber
