This major release supports VSELP only.

This was the first DSP release for IMBE
operation. It does not support subscriber AGC, and
is the most inferior sounding IMBE codec.
Anyone still using release 6 needs to upgrade
immediately. Reproduced audio during packet-loss
is extremely robotic sounding.

Some minor improvement over the audio
characteristics of IMBE DSP release 6. As of
07.03.09 it supports subscriber AGC, if used with
