Basic Operating Procedures
Selecting the Zone or Mode
A zone is a grouping of modes. A mode is a group of characteristics
such as transmit/receive frequencies, Private-Line™ codes, radio
parameters, and an alphanumeric name.
Selecting or Changing the Zone
1 Press thebutton to scroll to the ZONE softkey.
2 Press the button below ZONE.
The display shows the current zone and mode.
3 Press the or until the desired zone is displayed.
4 Press the or PTT button to save the displayed zone
as the new home (default) zone.
The zone name stops flashing once it is saved.
5 Press the PTT button to begin transmitting on the
displayed zone.
