• Point subscriber module in direction of the access point. Remember that when utilizing the
internal patch antenna the energy is radiated out in a 60°
horizontal by 60° vertical pattern.
IF UTILIZING A 5.7 GHz SUBSCRIBER MODULE:
the passive reflector will
change the radiated pattern to 6°
horizontal by 6° vertical.
• Set the web page to auto-refresh (see Configuration section for further information)
• Go to Alignment web page. Ensure that “
RSSI Only Mode
” is disabled.
• Click “
Enable Aiming Mode
” button.
• The module has a series of states that it will go through to register to an access point.
Those states are: scanning, syncing, registering, and registered. RSSI and Jitter will not
report on the web page till the unit is registered. If the module will not register ensure that
there is line-of-sight, the access point module is transmitting, the color codes match, and
that the subscriber is within the appropriate distance to the access point as specified by
Canopy.
• Slowly adjust the positioning of the subscriber module and monitor the Alignment web
page for a reading of the RSSI and Jitter. Lock down the module when appropriate.
• Click “
Disable Aiming Mode
” button.
• Perform a link test to check the efficiency of the link. See Link Test section for further
information. The efficiencies must be above 90% in both the up and down link for major
packet loss to not occur.
