Sending and Receiving Calls
Insert a Character From the Keypad
While dialing (with digits visible in the display):
Dialing with Voice Dial
You can call a phonebook entry by speaking its voice name into the phone:
You must store a voice name for the phonebook entry before you can use the voice dial feature. See
“Recording a Voice Name For a Phonebook Entry” on page 30.
Do This To

Press and hold *
for one second
begin cycling through the
p, w, and n characters in sequential order

release * when the
character you want is
visible in the display
insert the character at the current location in the dialing sequence
Do This To
Press and release the voice key on the right side
of your phone and say the entry’s name (in two
seconds).
indicate the phonebook entry you want to dial
Your phone takes you to the phonebook entry, plays
back the voice name stored with the entry, waits
two seconds, then automatically dials the call.
Check to make sure this is the correct entry. To
cancel the call, press any key
except for
the voice
key or
N.
