Overriding Forgotten IP Addresses or Passwords on AP,
SM, or BH
A small adjunctive product allows you to temporarily override some AP/SM/BH settings and
thereby regain control of the module. This override plug is needed for access to the module in any
of the following cases:
You have forgotten either
o the IP address assigned to the module.
o the password that provides access to the module.
You want local access to a module that has had the 802.3 link disabled in the Configuration
page.
You can configure the module such that, when it senses the override plug, it responds by either
resetting the LAN1 IP address to 169.254.1.1, allowing access through the default
configuration without changing the configuration, whereupon you will be able to view and
reset any non-default values as you wish.
resetting all configurable parameters to their factory default values.
