Keypad Microphone Features

Radio Enable via Manual Dial
Procedure:
1 Sg to access the menu.
2 PorQf or h to Contacts and press Ng to
select. The entries are alphabetically sorted.
3 PorQf or h to Manual Dial and press Ng to
select.
Key in the subscriber ID and press Ng.
4 PorQf or h to Radio Enable and press Ng
to select. The green LED blinks.
5 The display shows Radio Enable: <Subscriber ID> and
the green LED lights up.
6 Wait for acknowledgment.
7 If successful, a tone sounds and the display shows Radio
Enable Successful.
OR
If not successful, a tone sounds and the display shows
Radio Enable Failed.
Do not press
Re during the Radio Enable operation as
you will not get an acknowledgement message.
Password Lock Features
If enabled, this feature allows you to access your radio via
password upon powering up. You can use a keypad
microphone or Channel Rocker, Scroll Up/Down buttons to
enter password.
Accessing the Radio from Password
Procedure:
Power up the radio.
1 You hear a continuous tone. The first line of the display
shows Enter Password:. The second line of the display
shows a blinking cursor.
2 Enter a four-digit password via keypad microphone.
You hear a positive indicator tone for every digit pressed.
OR
Press the Channel Rocker
, Scroll Up/Down buttons to
select a digit and
Ng to enter the selected digit. Enter
the remaining digits of the password in the same manner.
The second line of the display shows ****. Press
Ng to
proceed.
Press
Pf to remove the last * on the display. You hear
a negative indicator tone, if you press
Pf when the
second line of the display is empty, or if you press more than
four digits.
