Compliance and Control Guidelines and Operating Instructions for
CM200/CM300 Mobile Two-Way Radios Installed in Vehicles
To control your exposure and ensure compliance with the occupational/
controlled environment exposure limits, always adhere to the following
procedures:
To transmit (talk), push the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button; to receive, release
the PTT button. Transmit only when people outside the vehicle are at least
the minimum lateral distance away (as shown in the table below) from a
properly installed, externally-mounted antenna.
The table below lists the minimum lateral distance for bystanders in an
uncontrolled environment from the transmitting antenna for various
CM200/CM300 mobile radio models installed in a vehicle.

For 25 Watt (or less) models, install mobile antennas at the center of the
roof or the center of the trunk deck. For 40 or 45 Watt models, install ¼-
wave mobile antennas at the center of the roof only. These mobile antenna
installation guidelines are limited to metal body vehicles. The antenna
installation must additionally be in accordance with:
