Remote Monitor
Use the Remote Monitor feature to turn on the microphone of a
target radio (subscriber IDs only). No audible or visual indication
is given to the target radio. You can use this feature to monitor,
remotely, any audible activity surrounding the target radio.
Your radio must be programmed to allow you to use this feature.
Initiating Remote Monitor
Procedure:
Use the programmed Remote Monitor button.
1 Press the programmed Remote Monitor button.
2 Por Q to the required subscriber alias or ID and press
N to select.
3 Radio sounds an alert tone and the green LED blinks.
4 Wait for acknowledgment.
5 The display shows Remote Monitor Successful.
OR
The display shows Remote Monitor Failed.
6 If successful:
The radio starts receiving audio from the monitored radio for
a programmed duration.
Once the timer expires, the radio sounds an alert tone and
the green LED turns off. The display shows Remote
Monitor Ended.
OR
If unsuccessful:
The radio repeats the attempt until the programmed number
of tries expires.
OR
Procedure:
Use the menu.
1 S to access the menu.
2 Por Q to Contacts and press N to select.
3 Por Q to the required subscriber alias or ID and press
N to select.
4 Por Q to Remote Mon. and press N to select.
5 Radio sounds an alert tone and the green LED blinks.
6 Wait for acknowledgment.
