This feature is only applicable while in Contacts.

Press to access the menu.

Press or to Contacts and press to
select.
The entries are alphabetically sorted.
3 Key in the first character of the required alias, and
then press the or button to locate the
required alias.
4 Hold the microphone 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0 cm)
from your mouth.
5 Press the PTT button to make the call.
The LED lights up solid green. The display shows
the destination alias.
6 Wait for the Talk Permit Tone to finish (if enabled),
and speak clearly into the microphone.
7 Release the PTT button to listen.
When the target radio responds, the LED blinks
green.
If there is no voice activity for a predetermined
period of time, the call ends.
The display shows Call Ended.
Adding a New Contact

Press to access the menu.

Press or to Contacts and press to
select.

Press or to New Contact and press
to select.
4 Use the keypad to enter the contact number and
press to confirm.
5 Use the keypad to enter the contact name and press
to confirm.
