Adding a New Contact Entry
Procedure:
1 > or < to CNTS.
2 Press the Menu Select button directly below CNTS. The
entries are alphabetically sorted.
3 > or < to {NEW CONTACT} and press the Menu Select
button directly below SEL.
4 The display shows NAME. Press the Menu Select button
directly below EDIT.
Use the keypad to enter the name.
Press
< to move one space to the left.
Press
> to move one space to the right.
Press the Menu Select button below DEL to delete any
unwanted characters.
Press * to add a space.
Press 0 to toggle between mixed case mode, uppercase
mode, and lowercase mode.
Press # to toggle between numeric and letter mode.
5 Press the Menu Select button directly below OK once you
have entered the name.
OR
Press the Menu Select button directly below CNCL to return
to the previous screen.
6 > or < to {ADD NUMBER} and press the Menu Select button
directly below SEL. The display shows TYPE 1 <DEFAULT
TYPE>.
7 Press Menu Select button directly below EDIT.
8 > or < to the required channel and press the Menu Select
button directly below OK.
9 > or < to NUMBER 1 and press the Menu Select button
directly below EDIT.
The display shows NUMBER 1 and a cursor appears.
Use the keypad to enter the number.
Press
< to move one space to the left.
Press
> to move one space to the right.
Press the Menu Select button directly below DEL to delete
any unwanted characters.
10 Press the Menu Select button directly below OK once you
have entered the number.
OR
Press the Menu Select button directly below CNCL to return
to the previous screen.
11 Press the Menu Select button directly below DONE once
you have finished.
12 The display shows <ENTRY> STORED, confirming that the
contact entry has been added.
13 The radio returns to the main Contacts screen.
