Trunking Features
Sending a Private Conversation Call
Follow the steps below to initiate a Private Call:
1 Press the PTT button to send a Private Conversation Call to the
radio whose ID number you have selected.
The radio transmits the ID number.
2 Pause for one second for the alert tone to sound on the
receiving radio.
Notes:If the party does not answer within
20 seconds, the display shows NO
ANSR. You hear an alert tone and
the telephone-like ringing stops.
If the radio you called is not in
service. the display shows NO ACK.
You will not hear ringing.
3 When the person you called answers, press the PTT button to
respond.
4 To hang up, press the EXIT softkey.
The radio returns to the home display.
