General Radio Features
Hang Up Box (HUB)
If the hang up box feature is enabled, scanning of non-priority
members is suspended whenever the microphone is removed from
the holding clip (hang-up box). This allows the user to complete a
conversation while scan is suspended. Scan is resumed once the
microphone is returned to the holding clip and the preprogrammed
hang time has elapsed.
Note: Priority members continue to be scanned while the
microphone is removed from the holding clip only if the
Designated Transmit Talkback Channel is selected to be
Talkback in the radio programming.
Optional External Alarms (Horn and Lights)
All control heads can be equipped for external alarms (horn and
lights) that are activated when a Call Alert page, Private Conversation
call, or phone call is received.
These features are useful when you must leave the vehicle, but need
to receive any incoming messages.
The radio always powers up with the horn and lights feature enabled.
Activate the External Alarm(s)
Non-Permanent Horn and Lights
1 Press the H/L button momentarily.
The last selected alarm(s) are enabled, and the display
alternately shows the enabled alarm(s), then the selected
mode.
2 Press the H/L button a second time to turn off the alarm(s).
